This beautiful bunting is rapidly disappearing from Southern Finland (and actually in the whole Scandinavia). It lives in swamps and it is usually difficult to find because it moves near the ground and lives in places that are too hard for human being. I found this bird on my way to Northern Finland in Suomussalmi when I stopped my car and took a break at E63 next to a small swamp. I found this bird when I heard two birds very silently calling "tick, tick". This was the first time I managed to see this species properly. My first photos of this species also.
